Happy week to y'all
[Saskatoon, Saskatchewan]
Album of the day: Empire Records Soundtrack
(and GOD how I want it)
First off, welcome to Sean. For anyone that doesn't know who this guy is, he does in fact kick ass, and I'm sure didn't mean to spark as much controversy as he did. :)
Secondly, for those of you that don't know, HOJA this year has been basically a three part group with a fourth rotator. There has always been Aaron Check (Brandon, MB), Aaron Balzer (Kitchener, ON), and myself (my basement, SK). Then we had Trent (August), Pete (September-October), and Tony (November-December). We have now found and signed a fourth member that will see us through till our contracts end in July. And this man is....
Black Johnny.
Johnny was a member of HOJA a couple of years ago. He came and saw our public show at the Broadway, liked the group, the boys in the office mentioned that they were looking for a fourth, he thought about it, and now he's onboard.
And yes, there is such a thing as HOJA II. It consists of Trent (A manager, mentioned above), Chris (Third manager, Tony--also mentioned above--being the second), and our dear old Johnny (well, not actually that old. Sources say around 27).
Hope everyone is doing well in all parts of the country. Robbie, safe trip to Abbotsford. Sean, safe trip home... when you get to it.

Song of the day: This Love - Maroon 5, covered by HOJA
Man, two radio interviews in 12 hours. I love my job. I've heard that doing them for 15 years can wear on ya, but for now they kick SERIOUS ass.
So the boys at Fat Cat Productions (the company that runs HOJA) really need to get their shit together for promoting shows. Now, I shouldn't get off on the wrong foot. I love these guys. Greatest bosses ever.... but our public shows are just going through the floor. Tonight we did a public show here in Brandon (which also happens to be the home-town of one of our boys), and there were approximately 30 people there. Now, we've done school shows and conferences for over 1000 people, and to perform for a crowd of 30, while intimate and enjoyable, is a major let-down.
We don't know exactly what the problem is, but something's gotta change if we want to start making a lot more money than we are.
On a happier note, I'm getting shit-faced tonight. Actually, I have 5 minutes to eat before we start shot-gunning.
Have a good night, I'll talk to you all soon.

Thank you to those that were involved in the Beta release of little-emo-kid.blogspot.com . This site is now officially public: I put my domain name in my MSN name, and it has since been added to the 'reads' list of imlynch.boysofsummer.ca (one of the most widespread websites in Canada... well, maybe not, but it still fuckin rocks. Thank you to those that made the initial release a success, and you damn well better stay in my readership.
To all of you that are new to the site, Welcome! Feel free to leave a comment telling me that you've at least visited the site before. It'd be nice to know that people at least made a half-assed effort.
You might notice a few names continually popping up in posts on this site:
Jessi (my better half. I miss getting to write these just to you like on myspace)
my Rachel (Hey best friend! Now that Daneel has a webcam too, we're obvioulsy never sleeping...)
and Daneel (I never did tell you about how I needed to explain to my mom what 'Nice to meet you with your pants ON this time' actually meant)
I hope your visits to this site bring you joy and happiness.... or just something else to do online while waiting to illegally download HOJA songs off the Internet (Hey, I do it too...)

Song of the day: Transalanticism - Death Cab for Cutie
(Note: I actually didn't even listen to the song today, but it's been in my head)
Good day, lot of driving, rank tired.
(Yep... that about covers it...)
Jess, I miss you, and I'm sorry again that our phone conversation sucked tonight. I'll make it up to you later.
Daneel and Rachel, I won't be online tonight. It's just after 9, and I sure am going to bed.
Hello Tony (but you're never gonna read this anyway. Unless you do... in that case, good for you)

Song of the day: Playing Favourites - The Starting Line
(Yes, I understand the song is about California, but think Alberta if you can.....)
Most 'band-like' I've ever felt. All day: moneen shirt, black zip up hoodie, studded bracelt, black hair, jeans, and 137 new songs on one mp3 cd.
...I know, I know. I'm a dork. We've been over this.

Ever second guessed your own decisions? Welcome to the world of Brennan Cuff.
My most sincere advice I could ever give a young guy that's just entering into the new environment of independance is a resounding: "Just don't think about it".
Best advice I've ever gotten, and that goes for many things. Girls (especially), career, friendships (although that ones more of a "don't worry about it").
There are enough little things, if you take the care to notice them, that will tell you all you need to know.
Case and point: yesterday.
I long ago decided that I want to attend some sort of production/theatre school somewhere in the world. I didn't care where, but I just needed to embrace my love of performing in some sort of professional environment.
And, like many times along the way, I got scared last month. I realized that I am now a professional performer. I get paid to be on a stage singing and entertaining. Could this be my fill of professional performing? When I finish this year, am I going to be thankful that I got the opportunity to perform for a living, but now I'm ready to settle down and go to university for a more 'business' like job?
Yesterday, I spent my day off going to watch Marion M. Graham Collegiate put on 'Copacabana'. It was the only chance I'd have to watch it, seeing as we're in Manitoba this week.
These highschool teenagers were up there, singing and dancing around, just having fun.
....And all my fears were calmed.
I am so ready for the next 8 months (or possibly year and 8 months) to be enjoyed, but fly by as fast as possible.
My dear holy God, get me on that stage now...
...the lights, the stage, the music, the dancing, the costumes, the make-up, the audience....
... the life.

Song of the day: Bring Sally Up - Gone in Sixty Seconds Soundtrack
Today was fun. Rehearsal day, so nothing too extreme. AND we worked on Christmas music for the whole morning.
Frick, I can't believe the social turn-around that I've encountered over the last three months. It's incredible. The people I've been surrounded with (and surrounded myself with) have been so inspiring and wonderful. It's amazing to think what it was like to be in highschool, or worse, even before that....
There are sooooooo many things I want to do. I just want so many things to happen right now. I want to do so many Hoja shows, and I want to be in a band, and I want to be in school, and I want to live on my own, and I want to make movies, and I want to see everyone.....
It's amazing how the waiting is both boring and exhilirating at the exact same time.
Hi best friend.
Night, y'all.

Song of the day: There's no 'I' in team - Taking Back Sunday
1:00 am. Very tired. Must post. Why? Because I'm a bitch, and I like posting.
Frick I love Christmas music, and watching webcams of my friend while talking on the phone to my other friend, and putting a microphone to the telephone so that the one on webcam can hear the conversation, even though they're instant messaging each other anyway.
Who the hell are we.... ;)

Album of the day: Rock Paper Scissors - Hoja
That's right. We three recieved the premiere release of the new album today. Let me clear the air right now by saying that NONE of you will be recieving bootleg copies. The album comes out in just over a month. You can wait.
I've also realized a few things that I need to remember for the next little while. 1) Save money, even more so than I'm pretending to do now; 2) Pay compliments to those that deserve them, even if you're not sure why they deserve them; and 3) Helping out is fine, but keep out of others business.
I'm sorry if I messed anything up.

ps> This is Jessi's official mention of the site. I dropped hint of her before, but she didn't see. Notice the capitalization on the name 'Jessi'.
Home grown
Frick, am I ever tired. While I've mastered the art of the power nap, it seems that two solid years of doing so has put me behind in the game. If by chance I do get spurts of energy, I generally either use them in a show, or spend some extra time meeting friends.
But it brought to my attention where I spend most of my time, and what exactly is making me so tired. Basically, it boils down to: I spend way too much damn time on this friggin machine. Back in the day I became addicted to ICQ, and once I saw the light, I swore never again. Well, some things never change, and now I feel myself glued to my chair (which, on the plus side, is really REALLY comfy) till all hours of the morning.
The differences between then and now: a) I'm missing sleep now, instead of missing homework then.... not that once I quit ICQ the missing homework stopped... but still; and b) I have a select group of people that I cannot get enough of, and instant messaging keeps us in contact.
And that brings me to this: posting on a blog site. (aren't I a trend setter :) )
Seriously, I want to do this. I love posting. I used to have one on 'myspace.com'. I only had one person that ever read it (and I thank her for it), but I quit posting.
There were a lot of reasons keeping me from starting a new one, but those aren't solid excuses anymore.
Due mostly to my Rachel (hey best friend) and Daneel (my future oscar-buddy), I will be posting all I can on this site about both what I'm doing and what's on my mind.
Of course... that means even more time on this computer....
ahhh... some things never change I guess.

Alright, I understand that 'blogs' are widespread. But here's the deal: I just really wanted a place to jot down a few ideas should I ever need to. As for this.... really I just wanted a second post....
