I want a Flickr

[Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan]
Song of the day: Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi

So I don't know whether to continue to put up pictures or not. Does it get annoying? Or should I post a whole lot of pictures all of the time, and y'all can vote on which ones should cycle through the list to put at the top?

Nah, that won't work. Cause I tell you people in no un-certain terms things to comment on and you don't follow through.

That's alright... (*sniff*)... I know who my real friends are...

(Says the guy that relies on most of the people that read this site for extreme support)

Speaking of which, I updated the 'friend' links on the side bar. I took out a few people in order to add a few more. I could always have just added the new without removing the old. Actually, maybe I will do that.

Anyway. Point is: if you read this site and are appalled that your name has been removed from the links, let me know. I'll put you back on just to please your little heart.

As for my little heart, it wishes for a Flickr account, and I'm going to take the next few minutes to look up the details.

Even though I don't really own a digital camera and will be hard-pressed to come up with pictures to fill it with. Ah well.

Thanks, too, to Vanessa and Michelle for making it down to see us/me at the Moose Jaw Ex. What a crazy, messed-up day.

Dahssss Hoi-ahssss

[Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan]
Song of the day: Cheeseburger - Relient K (Veggie Tales cover)

Alright, honestly. What does a guy gotta do to get some recognition around here?

So I find out (finally) that I can use the handy little picture button to add images to my posts, and that I can give the URL for them. I don't need to host them on my own.

So I go on Google to find an image to put on.

Now this is the first picture EVER to appear on my site. What should I put? I thought about trying to find a picture of one Vanessa Nelson, but no luck through Google there. So I thought maybe Ella Fitzgerald (for no real reason. Just cause I thought of a picture that I've seen of her that's pretty cool).

And finally it hits me. Run a Google images search for 'HOJA' and get one of the group (and more importantly, one of the ones that's NOT on our site, because we all hate those pictures).

So I 'Google Images' up the string 'Hoja':

And I search...

And I search...

So I've decided:
Homework for readers of little-emo-kid is to go onto that all-powerful website that is Google.ca, and tell me how many pages of images you have to search through before you come to one that is of our band.

***Bonus prizes for anyone that can tell me what the song is that we are singing (or introducing) in each of the five pictures shown.***

And I have a sneaking suspicion that Vee's going to win. Possibly because she spends a lot more time on this site than I do. (That's CrazyNess for anyone that's really out of the loop.)

(REALLY out).

So. After all that searching for Hoja pictures, I've decided what I wanted to put as the first ever picture (that I could find on the web) and it is......

Me.

Take it, 2, 4, out the door

[Brandon, Manitoba]
Band of the Day: Anagram (Celtic, Jazzy, Funky, all-around-awesome)

So Aaron Balzer decided at 3:00 yesterday afternoon that last night was a night to get as intoxicated as possible. Funny, I would've waited till the weekend, but to each his own I guess.

So we went to a pub to watch Graydon Cramer (Check's best friend) in his freshly assembled band.

Long story short, the night was a success. We all went out, friends showed up, the band was awesome, and Balzer drank more than he ever thought he would.

More than any of us thought he would, for that matter.

So it's 9:30am now. We're on our way to Winnipeg for a show. That's right, 'a' show. Thankfully.

I really need to brush my teeth.

Awful Ingle

[Edmonton, Alberta]
Song of the day: LM - Vanessa

I... feel... like... shit.

It's 9:30 Thursday night. My stomach's been in knots since 2pm (that's right. As soon as we got called to start the show, I stood up and have been feeling like this ever since). It's an upper-gut pain. It's not low/gassy (for those of you that are just itchin to hear about me and my gas), but more like a lump of something stuck under the bottom of my ribcage.

So I missed out on Hanging with Clayton and Rachel and the Aarons, because I felt so terrible. I took acetamenophine, slept from 5:30 till 8:30, got up, felt better, felt not-so-better, had a glass of water, sat at the computer, had ONE BITE of food (granted, it was Taco Bell) and instantly felt like hell again.

This blows.

On the plus side, I'm online catching up with Jayme (not to be confused with 'Jamie' who I got to see in Ontario). Jayme is in Vancouver while her boyfriend Jonny goes to Vancouver Film School.

Wow. This has been sitting open for a long time. I just haven't been entering text.

Alright, I guess that's enough for now. I've had some interesting experiences the last couple of days, but I've decided that one of the reasons I sometimes don't like posting is that I have to try and remember all the events that have transpired since the last time I've posted.

Thus I have decreed to just post on whatever day it is, rather than backtracking all them time.

Except when the story is just too good. As for the last few days...

..let's just say I'm a better actor than I thought I was, but my prize was getting hit on by many of the guys in the gay bar (and kissed by one).

Pre-script

[Okotoks, Alberta]
Song of the week: Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
(Another one of the songs that would be on the soundtrack of my life)

Holy eff, it's June.

What a wonderful feeling. (Wonderful feeling, wonderful day).

Well, not a wonderful day. It's been raining here for the past 48 hours. Overcast, wet, chilly. But all in all, we're in the last few days of our Calgary week. Which means:

One week in Edmonton
One week in Dauphin, MB (and Brandon)
Three days in Northern SK
One week in Southern SK
Two days in Edmonton
One day full-out Canadian extraveganza.

And done.

Balzer was asking me the other day if I want the tour to end. I replied "I'm not wanting it to end tomorrow, but I don't want it to go on for an extra month. Whenever the time comes, I'm ready to be finished."

The other bonus is that I'm in Saskatoon for the first weekend in June, the second weekend, early in the third week, and then for all of the month of July.

Well, not all of the month. Cause I'm gonna be camping the hell out of that month.
Hey Rachel, wanna come with?
