No one said 'Polo'

[Calgary, Alberta]
Song of the day: Tihtavarra - Rajaton

You know what I hate? Bad drivers.

Now I'm not talking about eldery drivers or new drivers. It's not even the low experience of the drivers that makes me upset.

I hate unaware drivers. The people that don't pay any attention to what's going on around them.

Case 1) Downtown. I'm pulling out of a spot right in front of Schmatta on 21st. I slowly back out because I can't see traffic coming from all sides. I notice that one person has stopped a reasonable distance away so as to allow me to pull out (and probably to take my spot once I'm done.) I continue out, checking the other direction, only to find that it's clear.

So my attention then, naturally, becomes solely fixed on directly behind me. What do I find while intently watching what's going on behind my car?

A twenty-something guy comes flying out of the parking spot directly behind me on the opposite side of the street. He blasts out of his spot, a few feet from my back bumper, looks to see if I'm watching him (which of course I'm looking him straight in the eyes), he gives an audible "WHOOOOOOOOO" and continues on his way.

Case 2) Corner of Warman/Waneskewin and 51st
Right now, there is huge construction going on Circle Drive westbound, so much of the traffic is re-routed to 51st street. To combat the amount of people waiting to turn left at the intersection, the lane normally reserved for straight through traffic has become a left turn only, leaving the next lane over (the secondary lane for straight through traffic) as the only way to go through the intersection.

Yet I have hardly gone through that intersection this week without one or two people driving straight through from the newley 'turn only' lane. Granted, I haven't had any near accidents yet, but it's only a matter of time.

*Disclaimer*
Contrary to how this post may sound, I'm not actually mad. It's more of a 'shaking head' type of upset.

But don't screw up!

I considered it.

I found out that Matt Ma is taking his grade 9 the same morning I'm taking my ARCT. Wonder if I'll see him!

Hahaha, and here i thought only bc had the shittiest drivers.

At least you haven't developed an inate road rage reaction when someone does something stupid. Apparently i've passed on my habits to ppl that are constantly in the car with me :P

Yay for punching the horn while cursing out the window then tailing them for at least a block or 2.

I totally understand!
I'm sitting in traffic at a red light and this lady tries to edge her way in behind me. "Thats cool" I thought to myself...but then I feel her hit my car (cause my music was up loud so I didnt hear it) and she contunies to push my car with hers to try and get into traffic. If she'd have waited about 5 more secconds the guy behind me would have let her in. Stupid Drivers.

Yeah, I mean, some drivers are SO awful. They cut off Taxi's at McDonald's intersections, they hit inanimate stupid objects, they get speeding tickets, they hit inanimate stupid objects for a second time, they stop exceedingly close to cars infront of them at red lights and at stop signs at while waiting to merge onto 170th street from the mall, they constantly have their friends in the back yelling "Look out! What are you doing? Slow down! Speed up! Watch that guy! You stress me out! Shutupihateyou!". Stuff like that. Man, bad drivers suck. I feel your pain Cuffer. I feel your pain.

Mayzie can hit things with the back end. The Tinky Tank goes head first. Don't know which is better really. I still haven't replaced that light cover in the front yet. If you go to the accident site (ahem, my work)you can still see the pieces in the parking lot. Right next to the inanimate pole that was so rudely in my way. I mean her way. Car has a mind of its own I tells you.

The space was neccessary. Am I the only one to notice that your comments slowly get bigger? I just had to follow suit.

It has, in fact, been a while since an update. That's because my summer rocks and I HATE chore blogging. In fact, this site will become obsolete in a few days. I hope I don't ruin anyone's day by there only being a few more posts before this site will close.

Hope everyone's summer is awesome.
