Summer of George
[Song of the day: Way I am - Eminem]So the room is done.
No, not finally full. I, for a long time, strived to fill up any spare space on any of my ceilings, walls, or shelves.
Friends, when I say the room is done, I mean the room is empty.
The walls are clean, the ceiling is clean, the shelves are clean. The only things that remain in the drawers or on the desktops are the things that I am taking with me to Edmonton.
In terms of regulation black/green garbage bags, here are the stats:
1.5 - Bags to Community Living/Goodwill. One bag of clothes, one half bag of shoes, hats, and other clothing accessories.
3.0 - Bags of GARBAGE. Straight, un-adulterated refuse.
1.5 (Approx.) - Keepsakes/School records/Collectables. Kept on one shelf in my closet.
It has been a couple of days full of listening to emo music. Ya, I definitely shed a few tears. It's almost impossible not to. This is the first time I've ever moved farther than from the main floor to the basement.
But I'm excited.

My farthest move was also from main floor to the basement.
I am moving 45 mins away and I am sad. For the most part. I couldn't imagine having the first move be out of the province. But it will be awesome, I promise. Filled with movie nights, crappy microwave food (trust me, you won't have time for real meals) and laughing at those people who have to drive from school to their homes. Well, we could I guess...
Lastnight I was with my sister and I had the 3 weeks till leaving teary eye. I've already done the moving out of my room thing. Which is funny bcause my mom redid it and now I have adjusted to a whole new room. What I find the hardest is trying to keep time in perspective so I make sure I enjoy every last moment with my friends and family.
