Boy, this has been a while
[Artists of the night: Micheal Jackson; Simon and Garfunkel]So I've been home since the 17th of December. I've received gifts for Christmas that have all been placed in my room. My brother (as a technical resident of this house, even though he's hardly here) has all of his things in different places around the house. Mainly, the basement.
My parents are having a shaker for New Year's Eve in our house. My mother told my brother and me that we have to vacuum upstairs and completely clean the basement. My father told my brother and me that we have to completely clean the basement and vacuum upstairs. Before I had a chance to deliberate with him on the subject, Brodie has vacuumed upstairs.
When I get downstairs, I realized that everything of mine is in or around my suitcase in my room. And what little there is out of place is entirely Brodie's or possibly my parents'. What do I do about "cleaning the basement?"
And why does this situation upset me so much? Is it that I've been living on my own for 4 months, and I don't like the idea that my parents can harp on me for not doing things on their schedule? Cause if this was my place, I'd probably clean the basement at some point, but it may or may not be at the exact moment that they want it cleaned.
One thing is clear for the moment:
Here's hoping I find work in Edmonton for the summer.

hahahahahahahahahahahaaa... I only laugh because I understand. Heres to being home and feeling like I never left. I got almost the exact same thing the other day. Chores from parents, messes that weren't mine, and arguement with the bro about who should do what. I realize that I am still their child, but it is incredibly annoying to be treated like that. I wish I had some positive thing to say on the matter...
on another note: please tell me that I did not send an incredibly drunken email to you the other night and that it was all in my dreams. Because I had a really bad dream involving yourself. Talk to you soon, your Lovely
